Equator™ 500 Inspection System
新型Equator 500的工作範圍為直徑 500 mm,高度可達 400 mm,可量測更大型的工件。
Product Introduction
The Equator 300 and 500 gauge systems maintain measurement accuracy at any rate of temperature change between 5 ºC and 50 ºC, with scanning speeds exceeding 200 mm/s.
Each Equator system supports the easy-to-use Organizer operator software, the EZ-IO software for automation, and the IPC (Intelligent Process Control) software for updating tool compensation on CNC machine tools.
When used with the SM25-2 scanning module, the Equator 500 expands its measurement range, offering a diameter of 500 mm in the X/Y plane and a height of 250 mm in the Z-axis. Using the SM25-3 scanning module extends the Z-axis height to 400 mm, allowing for probe lengths up to 200 mm to measure more features. The Equator 500's base can support workpieces and fixtures weighing no more than 100 kg.
Typical applications include transmission and engine housings for automobiles and trucks, drivetrain components such as connecting rods, as well as various housings, suspension castings, stamped parts, valves, and pumps.
Product Features
It maintains measurement accuracy even under rapid temperature changes, with an operating temperature range of up to 45 ºC.
Climate conditions can cause periodic changes in the processing site, such as daily temperature variations and seasonal temperature changes. For example, the processing site temperature is lower in the morning, but rises due to increased outdoor temperatures and heat generated by machine operation. The Equator500 can handle these temperature variations through recalibration, allowing accurate measurements to begin as soon as the first part is produced. The Equator gauge series offers measurement uncertainty of only ±2 μm over a temperature range of 5°C to 50°C, making it ideal for inspecting workpieces on the production floor.
Automatically update tool compensation directly from the Equator 300 and 500 systems.
The Equator series of fixtures is compatible with the new IPC software, which continuously monitors and automatically adjusts machining operations to keep part dimensions close to nominal values and within process control limits. This correction of process variations improves part quality and increases manufacturing capabilities while reducing scrap. The Equator fixture system is placed next to the CNC machine tool, allowing for on-site process adjustments and avoiding time delays or reliance on finished product inspection. The Equator fixture system can be connected to one or more CNC machine tool controllers.
