1) Accelerated Investment Program for Small and Medium Enterprises / Chang Yi-an, Deputy Manager, Taiwan Small and Medium Enterprise Joint Counseling Foundation

To enhance the competitiveness of Taiwan's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the Ministry of Economic Affairs, with the approval of the Executive Yuan, launched the "SME Investment Acceleration Action Plan" on June 26, 2019. Guided by the needs of businesses, the plan invited Mr. Chang Yi-an, Deputy Manager of the Taiwan Small and Medium Enterprise Joint Guidance Foundation, to explain the four integrated strategies: providing assistance with rapid financing, meeting land use needs, ensuring a stable supply of water and electricity, and offering dedicated tax services. These strategies aim to accelerate the industry's development towards innovation, intelligence, and high value. A Q&A session was also held.

2) Precision Intelligent Manufacturing / Zhang Ende, Chairman of Licheng Precision
Applications and carbon reduction advantages of metal 3D printing and diffusion welding on molds / Mr. Hsu Shih-Tung, Manager, Licheng Precision

Founded in 2012, Licheng Precision has over 10 years of experience in precision machining and manufacturing. It specializes in various CNC high-hardness molds and mold cores, as well as customized products and services for two- to five-axis parts machining. It actively and continuously innovates, integrating development, design and manufacturing into a one-stop shop, becoming an unshakable leader in the mold manufacturing industry.

Licheng's main business includes the design and development of high-hardness precision molds (plastic molds, stamping dies, PM molds, and MIM molds), machining of high-hardness curved surface mold cores, five-axis precision mold & parts machining, tungsten steel machining, etc. Simultaneously, it incorporates smart manufacturing: ✎ Temperature monitoring system – comprehensively and accurately monitors and records the machine's surrounding environment and cutting temperature; ✎ Tool measuring instrument – ​​to meet the needs of high-precision mold machining, it implements Dyna Line detection, effectively avoiding tool dimensional errors that could lead to wasted machining time; ✎ RENISHAW OMP-400 & AEPRO – to ensure accurate completion of complex curved surface workpieces, it fully implements on-machine measurement, avoiding product defects that could lead to rework and scrap.

In 2022, Licheng introduced metal 3D printing technology (also known as additive manufacturing). Metal 3D printing manufactures complex metal parts and products by stacking metal materials layer by layer. The principle of the technology is to control the process layer by layer based on a 3D model, precisely melting metal powder or metal wire, and then cooling and solidifying each layer after stacking to finally form a complete metal object. Licheng uses an "additive manufacturing" technology in 3D additive manufacturing, which is different from the traditional "subtractive manufacturing". It can make up for the inability of traditional manufacturing processes to manufacture complex shapes of metal products. Customized water channel design and precise temperature control and cooling efficiency can effectively reduce cooling time and production cycle, reduce energy consumption, and achieve the advantages of carbon reduction (ESG). The products are widely used in aerospace, semiconductor, medical, electronic product mold parts, automotive parts, and home appliance parts.
